The Big Picture

It is entirely characteristic that you never know where an interview with Spirit is going to take you. A seemingly very simple question often produces a startling and complex response; one thing leads to another and another and another until . . . well, you’ll see what we mean.

Listen very closely, please, because the very foundations of human life on Earth are about to be discussed.

This is the voice of Spirit:

As we address you today, we would speak of the nature of love, the nature of romance and sexuality. We will encourage all of you to understand that the fundamental drive of the soul in the human sphere is to be one with life again. To be held by another person, to hold another person, this is the purpose of life, this is the drive. This is incorporated through all aspects of self, the mind, the brain, the physical body, the physical biological intelligence, and your physical sexuality.

It’s all the same thing, part of a magnetic experience to be part of life once again. And when one surrenders to that intimacy, there is an orgasmic experience in the soul, thereby in the body. The orgasm is not the point, it is just a by-product of the ability to hold and be held, to be together in total union with another, union with the universe, union with God, union with all life everywhere; it is that moment of surrender that the greatest ecstasy of life comes forward.

We encourage you to understand that sexuality is a wonderful experience of spiritual oneness, that all life is motivated by the drive to be together. We encourage you to understand that romance is the dance of life, to understand that permission must be created from within, and not waiting for another person to create it for you. How can self create that permission to reach out and say, “Will you love me? Will you hold me? Will you ask me for my presence?”

How can you create that honesty with others instead of waiting for life to do that for you? There is the loneliness, there is the pain, there is the isolation from the great romance, the great passion of life. You simply do it yourself.
